How to use Torrents for Macs

BitTorrent allows you to download bits of one file from a number of different sources, which makes the downloading process much faster.

Many people find using BitTorrent on a Mac much easier than doing so on a PC. The first step is to find, download and install a BitTorrent client. The BitTorrent clients most often recommended for Macs are Tomato Torrent and Transmission.

Once you have downloaded these Mac Torrent Applications you simply copy them to your Mac applications window. What you now need to do is find the tracker file for the music, movies, ebook or software you would like to download. You can find this file by using a Torrent search engine (like torrentfinder.com). Once you have found the torrent file simply download it, and drag it onto your already installed BitTorrent client on your Mac.

This Mac Torrent client will then open up and immediately begin to download the files from a number of different users – it will begin to swarm.
